Message from the President

The Responsible Business Hub (RBH) is a flagship initiative of BGMEA, set up with GIZ and backed by BMZ’s Initiative for Global Solidarity (IGS) program. As part of the RBH Global Network- currently in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Mexico, Pakistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Serbia and Vietnam, the RBH BGMEA is driving the Bangladeshi RMG sector’s readiness for Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD)—a growing demand in global markets, especially the EU. As regulations tighten, RBH supports factories to identify risks, close compliance gaps, and embed responsible business practices. Through targeted guidance and capacity building, we’re helping the industry stay competitive, trusted, and future-ready in a world where responsible conduct is not optional—it’s essential.

Knowledge Sharing

RBH offers one-on-one advisory to help factories identify risks, assess gaps, and implement practical steps toward meeting HREDD standards.

Data Orientation

We guide factories through onboarding to BGMEA’s ESG platform, helping them disclose sustainability data aligned with global standards like GRI—laying the foundation for transparent reporting.

Sustainability & Capacity

RBH supports the industry-wide sustainability report and offers technical assistance to factories, enabling them to track progress and align with BGMEA’s 2030 vision
